New Orleans Destination Wedding | Amber + Jason

A second-line, trolley car, and party-filled destination wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana.

///

Canal Street is an amazing street to take photos of your bridal party and your new spouse before or after your wedding. I love coming down to Canal Street, chasing the trolleys, taking pictures with all of the palm trees and embracing the chaos that is New Orleans. The sun shines pretty brightly through there all day so it's typically a great safe haven with light to get some beautiful, bright New Orleans style pictures.

Second Lines are a fabulous tradition in the Louisiana Culture! A small four to seven person brass band plays songs that make you want to move your foot and dance around! Some people wave napkins, brides and grooms wave umbrellas in the air with feathers, people dance down the street cheering on the new couple. Second lines are a sign of your new life together, a time to celebrate your union!

New Orleans is the birth place of jazz, so when planning a destination wedding there, know that it will be a HUGE PARTY!! People love to celebrate. Whether they are just walking by on the street, driving in a car, or actually a part of the wedding festivities - they will join in your celebration and sing along with you! If you are planning to have a New Orleans wedding then you should definitely look into the traditions of the city because they are sure to elevate your wedding experience!
